Somerset West

A Primary & High School Campus

Generation Schools Somerset West

Introduction

Generation Schools Somerset West Campus offers a unique blend of tradition and innovation, set against the stunning backdrop of Somerset West.

Our campus is dedicated to providing a nurturing and challenging environment where students can excel academically and grow personally. Our junior school is Montessori-inspired, and our high school offers three senior pathways, being IEB, Cambridge International and Sí, so that students can be placed where they will do their best work rather than where the timetable happens to put them.

The campus features state-of-the-art classrooms, specialised labs, and extensive recreational facilities, an aquatic centre and full-sized sporting fields, ensuring that students have access to all the resources they need to succeed.

At Somerset West Campus, we are committed to cultivating a community of learners who are prepared to navigate and contribute to a rapidly changing world.

The Real Madrid Foundation Comes to Somerset West in 2027

From 2027, Somerset West becomes the fourth Generation Schools campus to host the Real Madrid Foundation Educational Football Program, joining Sunningdale, Sandown and Taroko.

Generation Schools is the Foundation’s South African partner and the home of its first Educational Football Program in the country. The programme combines Real Madrid’s coaching methodology with structured mentorship, values education and socio-emotional development, built on three pillars: the player, the game and the mindset.

With our aquatic centre, full-sized sporting fields and specialist coaching staff already in place, Somerset West is built for it. Contact our admissions team to register your interest in the 2027 intake.

IEB

Somerset West offers the IEB in Grades 10, 11 and 12, alongside the  Sí pathway.

Our IEB stream delivers a rigorous, holistic education leading to the National Senior Certificate, South Africa’s most widely recognised independent school-leaving qualification, and a direct route into South African universities.

Offering these pathways on one campus is a deliberate choice. It means a student’s route is decided by their strengths and ambitions, not by what happens to be available.

Our Grade 8 – 12 IEB curriculum offerings include core subjects like English, Mathematics, and Afrikaans, alongside options such as Physical Sciences, Business Studies, Life Sciences, Accounting, History, Geography, CAT, Tourism, and Visual Art. Life Orientation and Physical Education ensure a well-rounded approach to student development.

Whether students choose the esteemed IEB stream, the globally recognised Cambridge International curriculum, or the innovative Sí pathway, they will flourish in an inspiring, supportive environment where academic excellence, critical thinking, and personal empowerment are at the heart of everything we do.
